应林崇教授邀请，2023年7月14日上午，香港大学James Lam 教授在行思楼316室做了题为“Smooth Interpolation Constraints for Bumpless Transfer Design in Periodic Piecewise Linear Systems”的学术报告会。报告会由林崇教授主持，我院部分师生参加了此次报告会。
James Lam教授是控制界著名学者，在曼彻斯特大学获得机械工程学学士学位，在剑桥大学获得硕士和博士学位。获得了香港大学杰出研究员奖和英国皇家工程学院杰出访问院士。James Lam教授是特许数学家、特许科学家、特许工程师，IEEE会士、IET会士、IMA会士、IMechE会士，是IET Control Theory and Applications主编，Journal of Sound and Vibration, Automatica, Asian Journal of Control, International Journal of Systems Science, International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, Journal of the Franklin Institute, Multidimensional Systems and Signal Processing, and Proc. IMechE Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering等国际期刊副主编。James Lam教授是IFAC网络系统技术委员会成员。研究方向包括：模型降阶、鲁棒控制和滤波、时延、奇异系统、马尔科夫跳变系统、多维系统、网络化控制系统、振动控制和生物网络。
